Make Your Own Ginger Pineapple Detox Shots

Maintaining a healthy immune system can be done with vitamins or using fresh ingredients to create a wellness juice shot. This DIY recipe for ginger pineapple detox shots will give you a healthy dose of nutrients like vitamin C, bromelain (digestive enzyme), selenium, potassium, manganese, calcium, and vitamin A. This wellness shot recipe is great for body detoxing, boosting the immune system, calming coughs, and soothing sore throats.

 

Equipment:

Blender

Wide Mouthed Container

Mesh Strainer

Small Spoon or Spatula

 

Ingredients:

1-2 tbsp. Honey

1 cup Fresh Pineapple (cubed or substitute with pineapple juice)

2 tsp. Turmeric (minced)

1 sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper (to help increase the absorption rate of turmeric by 2000%)

1 cup Coconut Water

2 tbsp. Fresh Ginger (minced)

2-3 tbsp. or ½ Lemon (juiced)

 

Directions:

  1. Prep all the ingredients and combine all the ingredients in the blender. Blend for 30-60 seconds.
  2. Place the mesh strainer over the wide-mouthed container, pour the blend into the container using the strainer to remove the pulp.
  3. Use a small spatula or spoon to help evenly distribute the liquid through the strainer.
  4. Serve and enjoy! (Chilling before serving is optional if preferred)

 

 

These shots are best served fresh after juicing but you can store them in an airtight bottle but don’t have a long shelf life and it’s best to drink it fresh as possible. This juice shot is a great way to start the day and is best to drink in the morning that can be a digestive aid during the day.
